Unrefined Bakery Holds Nothing Back

By Jake Levin

Unrefined Bakery isn't defined by any one item on its menu.

In fact, it's just the opposite. The bakery, which is based in McKinney, Texas is uniform in its dedication to keeping up as a gluten free, soy free and organic facility. But more than that, according to co-founder Taylor Nicholson, is that Unrefined Bakery is an allergen free facility throughout. All items are non-GMO and there are paleo, keto and vegan options scattered about the menu as well.

Still not sold? Nicholson encourages perspective patrons to come by and try it for themselves.

"We sample everything," Nicholson said. "Our foods are made from scratch using the finest quality organic ingredients, food you feel good about eating. We believe you are what you eat."

Unrefined Bakery features all sorts of baked goods ranging from sandwich breads, muffins, sweet breads, pizza crusts, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, wedding cakes and custom cakes. The sandwich breads can be enjoyed on any variety of sandwiches, and the bakery also brews its own coffee complete with its own coffee bar.

"Not your average cup o' joe," reads the website, www.unrefinedbakery.com. The coffee is organic and fair trade featuring options such as organic dairy, almond milk, coconut milk and other house made sweeteners.

There are six Unrefined Bakery locations in all in the Dallas-Forth Worth area, including three in Dallas proper. Deliveries and shipping options are available for items on the menu, which grows as the holiday season approaches. Boxed deals are part of different packages.

Within the website, there is a section detailing "Whole 30 Options." These products contain no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, no alcohol, no grains, no legumes and no dairy.

"Quick and easy on the run breakfast," reads its description. Items include paleo pumpkin muffins, paleo morning muffins, paleo banana chocolate muffins and things of that nature.
