Ringo's Pub: Brewing Up a Great Time

By Courtney Clark

Harder Concepts is the business venture created by brothers Brian Harder and Jerry Elliott. One of its results, Ringo's Pub, invites guests to stop in when they are in Plano, Texas. If the delicious food and cozy atmosphere are not convincing enough, the more than 90 craft beers will have guests eager to come by.

Sara Polito, a representative for Ringo's, says that Ringo's strives for "a professional and fun atmosphere" and "thunderous hospitality that makes you file like you're part of our family." To this end, the bar is modeled after an Irish pub. The low lighting lends to the relaxed atmosphere, where patrons can enjoy a drink from the menu or design their own from the full bar. Multiple wide-screen televisions pepper the walls so you can watch the big game or keep up with a favorite team. The high-top tables are comfortable, and guests can dine indoors or outside on the patio for fresh air.

Ringo's offers a diverse menu that goes beyond simple bar food. The chef prepares classics with a twist: guests can choose from more than ten different sliders' entrees. The Salmon BLT is an option for those in need of grilled salmon with bacon, while the Lil' Tex Burger offers a taste of the south with Jameson barbecue sauce and fried onion straws. The "Pub Bites" are a classic, but unexpectedly delicious. Hummus joins the menu for an unusual addition, while the warm salty pretzel is paired with Sriracha mustard and queso. Ringo's also introduces the bar to the kitchen with the Fireball Whisky Chicken.

Of course, Ringo's main boasting point is their beer selection. More than 90 craft beers are available so that, as Ringo's always says, "you won't leave thirsty." Aficionados will recognize the usual suspects: Blue moon, Guinness, and Stella Artois are just a few. Ringo's is proud to serve local brews, as well, such as Fireman's #4 and Shiner Bock. Adventurous, indecisive patrons can opt to combine two beers. The Snakebite is made up of Harp and cider, while Maredsous 8 and Stella Cidre pair for Ringo's Belgian Blend. The Pub even offers an extensive cocktail and wine menu for those who aren't beer-drinkers.

With 4 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor and Facebook, Ringo's is obviously an excellent choice for Plano guests and residents. Whether you need a place to watch the game, a bar to try new brews, or just a restaurant for dinner, the Pub will provide.
