Helping Brides Find The One at Blushing Bride Boutique

By Allison Wilson

The Blushing Bride Boutique in Frisco doesn't believe in selling wedding gowns to brides. They believe in helping brides find "the one."

"When she finds 'the one,' this dress will provoke an emotion," says Shana Lepsis, Owner and Stylist at The Blushing Bride Boutique. "There are 'symptoms' a bride experiences when she finds her dress, so high-pressure selling is a method that a bride will not experience here in our boutique."

Lepsis opened her appointment-only bridal boutique in its intimate location corner of 5th and Main Street, at a 1900 year old historical brick building at 6,000 square feet.

"I had a vision for this room being the perfect 360-degree viewing room for a bride," she says. "All I needed to do was add chandeliers, mirrors and all the special touches. The shop was truly set up perfectly for an intimate bridal boutique."

The Blushing Bride Boutique carries what Lepsis calls "affordable bridal couture." The shop features designers such as Justin Alexander for Sincerity Bridal; Lillian West; Marisa; CoCo Anais; Watters Wtoo and Willowby; Moonlight Bridal, Moonlight Couture; and Val Stefani Couture. Gowns are available in a well-rounded variety of styles and silhouettes, such as mermaid, fit and flare, A-line, slim A-line, ball gown, and sheath. From simple satin and lace gowns, to the very ornate, more elaborately beaded and embroidered dresses, there is something for every bride. The shop also has a variety of plus-size gowns that range from a size 16 up to 30.

"When I first opened the business I needed to bring in a variety of designers from the $800-$2,000 range, and now we have designers in the shop that go up to $4,000," Lepsis says. "Showing brides unique styles, non-traditional designs, and a variety of gowns in colors like champagne, blush, silver and nude are all features brides will be pleasantly surprised to see in the boutique. I think that most brides are looking to have a lovely and memorable experience, but also value a professional opinion regarding what silhouette and styles will look best on her shape. Wedding gowns are constructed differently than normal garments, and so it is our job as the professional stylist to know which dresses are best for each body type."

An initial consultation at the boutique can be booked for ninety minutes, and each appointment entails a professional bridal stylist providing undivided attention. Lepsis says the stylists make the experience as low-stress as possible by giving brides a luxurious and spacious bridal dressing room set apart from her family and friends, who are seated in a private viewing room.

"This is the best opportunity we have to listen and hear from the bride exactly what she is wanting, and the best way to learn about her style and what will fit her vision for her day," Lepsis adds. "A bride's level of excitement and anticipation are at an all-time high, so it is important for the bride to feel confident in our consulting and styling expertise. This exceptional customer service, showcasing high-quality gowns at a reasonable price, and an assurance that we truly have the bride's best interest at heart is what sets us apart from the other shops in the area."

It's no wonder, then, that The Blushing Bride Boutique was chosen by local brides through "The Knot" website as a "Best of Weddings" storefront for the past four years. The Blushing Bride also carries special occasion dresses and Jim's Formal Wear for men's tuxedos and suit rentals.
