Fadia's Deli & Bakery Brings Authentic Lebanese Cuisine to Plano

By Kelly Church

Fadia's Bakery & Deli celebrates middle Eastern cuisine in the heart of Plano, TX. Using fresh ingredients, owners Charbel and Fadia Hamad serve baked goods, sandwiches and other deli items.

"All of our menu items are made fresh, in-house every day," the Hamads said. "The quality of our products [is what separates us from our competitors]. We check every item to make sure it meets our standard."

In fact, Fadia does all the cooking. She's Charbel's wife and is the skill behind customer favorite Lebanese recipes.

The bakery offers fresh bread and pastries, including zaatar bread and several types of pie: meat, cheese and spinach. Guests can also opt for maamoul, a pastry cookie available with dates, walnuts and pistachios. Baklava is also available. On Saturdays only, guests can buy knefe, a phyllo dough and cheese dessert pastry.

On the sandwich menu, guests can enjoy homemade lebneh cheese with olive mint and olive oil on pita bread. Shawarma chicken or beef sandwiches are also options, with sliced meat served on pita bread with garlic sauce, onions, parsley, tomato and pickles. Vegetarians can enjoy a falafel sandwich with tomatoes, parsley, pickles and tahini. In the deli, customers can buy fresh-ad hummus, baba ghanouj or toubli salad.

Fadia's Deli & Bakery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit fadiasdeli.com.
