Chad West, Attorneys at Law Tackle Your Legal Needs Regardless of Scope

By Elisha Neubauer

The team at Chad West, Attorneys at Law is there for you no matter the size, scale, or cost of your legal needs. Although the firm can handle just about anything thrown at them, they pride themselves on still being just small enough to deliver that personalized service. They'll know you and your case inside and out, so you won't be just another file thrown on someone's desk.

The company focuses on several aspects of law: criminal defense, personal injury, and marijuana business start-ups. Of course, they do handle smaller legal situations as well, such as updating or drafting a will or estate planning. They will work with you, on a one-on-one basis, to help navigate this legal world with you so that you don't get lost in the dust. "We believe in providing highly-personalized services to meet our clients' needs," states their website. This includes always searching for a resolution to your legal needs that will avoid a lengthy, costly trial, if at all possible.

Currently, Chad West, Attorneys at Law, has seen a trend in their business practices. "Marijuana criminal representation is 50% of our criminal docket," states Rocio Murillo, Marketing Director. This statistic is partly why the company has decided to get involved in the legalization of this controversial drug.

"We foresee this practice area reducing as marijuana becomes more favorable and legal in more and more states and territories," they detail. The firm is passionate about marijuana reform, capitalizing on the emerging industry and eventually shifting their business regarding the matter. "Chad actually co-authored the very first medical marijuana bill in Texas in 2011," Murillo tells us.

While West and his co-workers continue to strive for the legal reformation of this substance, their views on the outcome haven't been so optimistic as of late. "Until November 2016's election, we saw marijuana legalization moving at full speed ahead on a national level," he states. Currently, they are concerned about the new Attorney General's outlook on the manner, as he is sure to play a big part in the reform. "I foresee Trump's current conservative nominee as a likely hindrance to progressive marijuana legalization," Murillo explains.

The firm is located in the North Oak Cliff neighborhood, but is committed to servicing clients in the entire Dallas area. They are devoted to their local community and do dedicate time and donations to many charitable events in the area, as well as providing an open door to anyone in need of legal representation.
