A Home Away from Home for Your Pet at Champion's Forest

By Marina Jokic

Most people care for their pets as they would for a family member. Needless to say, they want to be confident they are leaving their animal in the right hands. Champions Forest Animal Clinic in the beautiful Champions area in North Houston, TX has built a great reputation for itself by providing long term veterinary care, prevention, wellness visits, boarding and education programs.

Champions Forest Animal Clinic highly skilled staff takes great care to ensure that families and their pets receive top notch customer service. The facility itself is run by four doctors, who believe in partnering with your family for the long term care of your pets- a process that requires the gradual building of trust and confidence. What is greatly valued by clients is the level of attention devoted to each family. For example, the clinic provides thirty minute appointments with doctors specifically designed to answer any questions a client might have regarding a procedure, condition, or anything else.

"We value your pets as part of your family, and we will work within your family's needs to make sure that your pet stays healthy and enjoys a long, full life," says Lisa Sartor, Practice Manager at the clinic.

One enthusiastic yelp reviewer writes: "Not your typical vet office. Super staff. All three of our dogs have gone here for a few years, and the staff, [especially] the doctors, are simply awesome!!!"

Sartor says that they recommend that dogs be brought in for examinations at least twice a year and for cats at least once a year. The clinic also offers helpful tips and tricks on how to travel with your cat, for example, among other useful information. They also welcome senior pets and offer senior wellness as well as laser therapy to keep them feeling as comfortable as possible. Following a well-planned treatment plan for your pet will ensure that he or she will be around for many years to come.

Not only is the clinic known for veterinary care, but they also work actively to promote animal welfare by partnering with Lone Star Boxer Rescue to save as many pets as possible. Impressively, they have placed and saved over three hundred dogs in the last couple of years. More recently, they have partnered with Italian Greyhound Rescue and will continue to work with the Boxer breed and advocate fervently for a no-kill resolution by bringing awareness to the benefits that pets can bring into the home.
