Coppell Studio Welcomes Every Body, Shape and Size to Rejoice in the Joys of Yoga

By Kelly Church

Built under the belief that yoga is for every type of body, Yoga From the Heart welcomes all people to their studio to practice and embrace yoga and meditation. With tons of classes for beginners and those who practice yoga regularly, Yoga From the Heart gives Coppell, TX residents an opportunity to reconnect with their bodies.

"At Yoga From the Heart, we take a different approach [to traditional yoga styles]," Guinn says. "The studio is a comfortable temperature and our classes are slower paced. It's a great stress-reliever. At the end of a yoga practice, there's a feeling of calm and content that moves through you."

There's something for everyone with classes at Yoga From the Heart. Beginner classes include all levels yoga, basic meditation instruction, beginner yoga and restorative yoga. For students who practice yoga frequently, all levels yoga and the yoga two class are great options. Contrasted from the growing popularity of bikram yoga, all classes here are held during a comfortable temperature. Guinn says she's excited about the research that has been conducted on how yoga benefits the body, releasing tension and tightness.

"We live crazy, chaotic lives," Guinn says. "Always running from one task to the next and rarely taking the time to stop and simply feel what it's like to live in our bodies. Yoga gives us that time, when we're holding yoga poses we have the opportunity to notice where there's tightness or friction or even, perhaps, where there's no feeling at all."

For those new to yoga, at Yoga From The Heart, there's no need to sign up for classes ahead of time. Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class your first time to meet the teacher, get registered and gather any mats or props you may need. For new students, Yoga From The Heart offers a special: ten days of yoga for $10. A regular class drop-in price is $15.

For yogis who want to teach, Yoga From the Heart also offers teacher training courses. They are registered with Yoga Alliance to allow yoga teachers-in-training an opportunity to complete their 200-hour training program. There are options with training, depending on how in-depth into the program one wants to go. To sign up for a training course, register online through Yoga From the Heart.
